STOP HONOUR KILLING !!!!!!

Stop Honour Killing, harassment and brutality on the name of inter-caste marriages..! let the people enjoy their freedom...! Is it a fair society in which people themselves kill their children, society doesn't allow people to love ? The 'Aaam Aadmi slogan' which is popular to criticize the Government represents this category of people? Initiate the change from yourself and the system will also be in tune with that one day? We ourselves are corrupt, heinous and dishonest in pity things and going to reform the system? All this is a game of power who leads the free Mother India, no one cares about the real change that can only happen by reforming ourselves. People 'Aam Aadmi' is struggling to defame the Government, to de-power the Government and the players behind the game are waiting to come into the power, players play with the issues, sometimes it is congress, sometimes BJP and now the Arvind Kejriwal. If they are real reformist, why they are against the ruling Government? Ruling Government is not an outside agency to control India, we the people have made that. Now, how can we believe that the new political party will fulfill its all the promises made to people? We have to see where are the needs for intervention will the problems of people change by changing the Chairs at Central Government or it will change by the reforms in the city or block level local administrations? there is an old dictum which says that King of a State is reflection of the people it have and it seems true in Indian context, are the common men really honest? ask to yourself? How much percentage ? you are killing your children on the name of Love they are doing, you are giving bribes on the name of donations on the name of your children's education, you give money to police stations to run your illegal business either small at road side or for large scale industries. You don't pay tax, hide the income from Govt., you do theft of electricity on a large scale using different means in home as well as in factories. You do abuses to everyone without any reason and so on….! What is all this? Bring changes in yourselves and you will see the change in society because the man who is sitting in Government has gone after we elected him and represents us. So I request you to kindly change your direction, put your energy in right directions, if you also agree with me. Initiate with two things only to make this society a good one - 1. Stop Honour killing and promote love and harmony, and allow couples to live freely. And 2. Stop giving abuses without any reason to anyone. Do this, and there are many other things to do, but initiate something at your front and keep away from the trap of name, fame and power.

Social Workers in Politics

Social Workers are ideally equipped to deal with the problems of a nation. I cannot think of any educational underpinning better suited to a career in government and politics than social work. Whether you see the use of a background and training in social work as a helpful thing in the field of politics may well depend on how you see politics. The definition of politics that I understand holds that politics is merely the way we decide who gets what, when they get it, and how much they can expect. In essence, politics is a means through which resources in society are divided. There are few who know better about the disbursement of resources than social workers. We see the effects that the adequate and inadequate disbursement of resources has on the lives, health, and well-being of people every day.

Restructuring issues with the ICJ

Over the last few decades, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has attracted a great deal of scholarly attention resulting in an enormous literature, much of which addresses the underuse of the Court. These share assumptions that improved organization and procedures are keys to increasing court’s activity quantitatively and quantitatively, this tends to bring common emphasis on reforms in the court. In September 2005, the UN General Assembly adopted an ambitious list of reforms of the UN structure, mandate and agenda. If implemented, it is going to be the most radical reform of the UN to date. Yet, the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the organization, has been largely ignored. States to honor their obligations to peaceful settlement of disputes and to promote wider acceptance of the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice, without mentioning any other concrete reform measures regarding the ICJ. This absence may be interpreted in several ways. It may be deemed to indicate that the world is content with the current state of affairs at and about the ICJ. Given the recent successes of the Court in terms of its caseload and its work product, this view may well be plausible. This absence may also be deemed to show a resignation that it is impossible to implement any reform proposals that would require amending the Charter and/or the Statute of the Court. If, as has been claimed, the UN Charter is a “finely tuned” instrument, the ICJ Part 3 of the Charter (consisting of Chapter XIV and the Statute) can be considered even more finely tuned, or at least more finely balanced and, therefore, more resistant to amendment. Indeed, as proposals for enlarging the membership of the Court were not accepted, while amendments have been made to the Charter in order to enlarge the membership of other UN organs, is a question for debate and further research.

United Nations Reforms

India's population is 20 times more than some of the countries who have a permanent seat in UN Security Council and there are other measures as well on which countries like India put strong candidature for the representation of Security Council. After this discussion and having views of representatives of US that it is not possible for India to secure the permanent seat in UNSC in next 30-40 years, is very discouraging for Indian youths.

I put a question, for a long term strategy, for restructuring of UN, for reforms in UN, this is the time when restructuring in UN is imperative, United Nations' existence is almost dead now a days, the current examples from Afghanistan, Libya and many similar stories prove it well. Now question is who is going to push the issue of restructuring the United Nations? Of course US is not going to support this idea... so the deprived Nations come together to raise their voice and stand against malpractices at Global front.

The balance representation of Nation states in the UN to promote the balance of power in the world community is the need of hour, today, irrespective of this the power lies in the hands of few powerful Nations and the democratic principles at globe level are not practiced.

The United Nations Charter says 'We the People' and NOT ' We the Governments' - so we people, we individuals irrespective of citizenship, religion, ethnicity etc have to come together to make power balance in world community. And India, as it has been in its blood and history, should initiate and lead the movement.

We the 7 billion people have to adopt for ourselves global democratic practices in the form of restructured United Nations.

The detailed study on proposed reforms in United Nations, I will share soon.

Are we really free?

In our country, everyone is talking about a change or reform, some for corruption, some for media, some for education, some for administrative system, some for electoral and political system, some for Health care management, some for food security, some for social security, and there are such endless issues. Are we not good in any of these domains? Why we are asking for changes?
We need to know the reason behind all these drawbacks in our system. Updating the system is a thing which goes with the time, whereas, structural changes in the system is a different thing which we are seeing now a days, a need for structural changes.
What is the core issue behind it? Why our systems are not adequate? If we give our thoughts on this question, we find a very simple answer – that is the Rules/ Legislations which govern us and which govern our system were made by the English people during our slavery time, British people made rules and legislation to control Indians, to exploit Indians and to not allow Indians to grow and lead a life with dignity.
After a freedom fight we got freedom from the clutches of British Government, but we are still governed by the rules and laws they made to exploit us. Today, systems are same only people have changed to rule us. Today, we are exploited by Police, by our Govt. Offices, and by politicians, why? Because the structure is same as it was before independence, only people have changed. Those who are now in power and government now and ruling over the general population and country’s resources are doing same as the British were doing.
So it is not a fault of person sitting on a Govt. Chair, but it is the fault of rules and laws which we have given them to function. The person is exploiting us because we are allowing exploiting ourselves. This is our country; we have adopted democracy as a system of regime, so we have to give the authority to our representatives to function in Government.
This is again our responsibility to threw away the British Rules, as we sent the British people back in 1947. Because, if we are still following the rules made by them we are not literally free, they are still ruling us.
You just imagine, a dictator came into power and made some laws to rule over people, people became aware, awakened and they threw away the dictator and appointed another ruler from among them but continued with the rules which that Hitlar or dictator made during his time. Can we expect that the new person could serve us in desired manner?
Similar situation is with our country, our people who are leading the country at different levels are not wrong, but the rules and laws made by British have compelled them to work in the way British were working.
We need to change the legislations which were enacted during the British time. If we see an example, Police law, labour and employment law, administrative law, and other all important legislations being followed today were enacted by British. We also need to rewrite our constitution for many reasons.
So can you now imagine that we are still slaves of British rules, don’t you think you should make efforts to change these laws?
On the other hand current wind of society calls for more ethical environment to live value based life, which requires structural focus and determination to co-create such environment along with the individual change and commitment to the ethical values. Legislations drive the system, we in democracy adopt the law as our ruler rather a person, we appreciate rule of law. So to target a value-based society, value-based legislations are of prime importance.
We now need to make legislations based on our National and Cultural values, which we don’t find in British time laws.
In Mahatma Gandhi’s edge many youths came into freedom fight movement, the circumstances make it worth for individuals to satisfy their lives by doing the best for their nation and society as a whole. This is the call of existence to you people, if you won’t do it, your heart won’t stay in rest. Time is calling… calling… calling… Will you still be in sleep? NO…….., AWAKE AND ACT….
